Three Minute TheologyTM is a website created with three primary goals
in mind:
- For the practicing Catholic:
Provide a simple, flexible way of learning more about the
Catholic faith with minimal additional demand on already
busy schedules.
- For the non-practicing Catholic:
Provide a non-threatening, not “in-your-face” method of
discovering the immense riches of the Catholic faith that
may currently be misunderstood or never learned with the
hope of bringing you closer to Jesus Christ in His Church.
Provide a non-aggressive approach to introducing you to the
Catholic faith and correcting the many common
misconceptions regarding Catholicism that are prevalent
among non-Catholics: Christian and non-Christian alike.
The main idea is to provide a tidbit of information about the Catholic
faith in a form that can be read online in fewer than three minutes.
These articles will contain links that permit the reader to delve
further into topics of particular interest,
Three Minute TheologyTM is developed and published by a small cadre
of catechists who belong to St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Olney,
Maryland. These catechists are not employed by St. Peter’s Catholic
Church and St. Peter’s Catholic Church is neither affiliated with nor
responsible for the content of the website. The catechists are
committed to providing a presentation of Catholicism that is in
complete harmony with the Magisterium of the Catholic Church and
with our local ordinary, the Archbishop of Washington. In all
doctrinal matters, we defer to his judgment.
“Come, Holy Spirit, and fill the hearts of Thy faithful and kindle in
them the fire of Thy love!”
Finally, the focus of the website is to be a conduit for the
dissemination of Catholic teaching and is not intended to be a
discussion forum. Questions can be submitted to
Questions@threeminutethology.org. For those who wish to engage in
extended discussion, please feel free to visit the Catholic Answers
discussion forums at http://forums.catholic.com/. (Three Minute
Theology is not affiliated with Catholic Answers, the largest Catholic
lay apologetics organization in the world.)
